whats causing the static and noise craking on my audio cd at track 6 ?

my whole new cd works great in my car..at the 6th track.......this crakling and noise and wavy type sound messes up my whole song..to the end of the cd whats causing all that?

hi, i am currently in possession of a pioneer AVH-P5750 in dash head unit and have been extremely happy with it since day one when i first bought it +/- 3 or 4 years ago. however, i would like to know if there is by any chance a way for me get it to play other formats like Mpeg4, Divx, and other media formats like that. currently i can only play the standard DVD and VCD formats on disks. is there perhaps an add on device that would allow me to be able to use a USB flash drive. i guess what im saying is, is there perhaps an aftermarket device such as the 1 offered by Grom Audio that allows your current headunit the functionality of being able to play mp3's from flash drive, but im my case it will allow me to play other media formats via flash drive? does such a device exist or am i asking for too much? i really do like my current head unit and would not like to replace it with 1 that has the functions i want already built in thanx in advance!

would it be not allowed especially if you're doing back up parking? backup camera is like showing you what's happening behind your car. showing you if you're about to hit an object. if a car has a back up camera, then the driver wouldn't even need to look behind the car. the driver can just look at the backup camera screen. would that take a point off from the driving road test?

Valor Multimedia player in car dash install?

I have just installed a valor multimedia player in my 2002 escape and i have it all working and everything but when i turn on my headlights the screen blinks from dim to bright almost in rhythm the entire time. I talked to the company who made the wire harness and they said that a capacitor isn't what i needed to solve this problem, can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks

Building a PC is no big deal, but building one for a car requires consideration of road bumps, fluctuating input DC and Voltage, and room to mount the parts. Suppose we used a 7 or 10" touch screen in the dash, mini motherboard with several USB ports, RAM memory and shared video memory. Since a typical hard drive is out of the question, wouldn't, say, five 2 gig USB flash cards do the job? One would be like drive C, hosting the operating system, the other 4 flash cards do everything else. And suppose we dedicated 2 of these cards to be removable, to take home and download data, audio or video files, maps...? Can this work? Should we wait for a 20 gig flash USB flash card? Would flash memory work as storage device?

There are 2 antenna plugs with 2 corresponding sockets in the OEM car stereo.. now I'm installing a new unit and it has only one antenna socket. What will I do with the other plug?? there is also a wire from the new unit labeled ANT, should I solder that wire to the other extra plug? or just connect that one bigger antenna plug, since the unit has only one ant socket. I want to install an lcd multimedia system in my that is capable of playing music through mp3/aux/usb maybe with gps other capabilities. Around a 7" touchscreen monitor. However, I don't really want cd/dvd capability and the depth that comes with it. I would prefer a flat screen without to much depth. I have considered mounting an onboard computer system with a touchscreen monitor (is this a good way to play music?). Or are there any other flat screen multimedia systems out there?

I asked this because I had mp3's from my computer saved to a CD, but then only Windows Media Player, Winamp, et al. computer multimedia software and DVD players can read it; I can't enjoy it in my car player and home component.

As the title says. I have a Pioneer radio in my car and was wondering If I can hook up my kenwood touch screen in dash monitor? I have the hideway unit along with the the Kenwood (which has the amp, built in tuner, audio/video connections)..will it hook up or does the radio HAVE to be a Kenwood? I just dont want to buy a Kenwood just to run it with the in dask Kenwood..make sense? Well like ok..I bought this unit, the Kenwood KVT-M700 and the hideaway unit. I have a Pioneer cd player in my car, can I just remove the Pioneer radio and just use the Kenwood? Or do I need the Pioneer, I know its confusing Im sorry. But I basically want to know IF I can use the Kenwood as a stand alone unit or do I need the Pioneer with it? I know the Kenwood dont have a built in cd player but I aint worried about that, was just curious if I can pull the Pioneer out totally or if it must have another unit with it besides the Kenwood screen unit and the hideway module.

I get this message for the tire I had replaced around 3 months ago- could the tire shop have damaged the sensor? I get the warning every OTHER day on my 90 mile round trip commute. The tire pressure is fine, I check with an external gauge, but the pressure on the monitor reads "XX".

I checked out the Nissan 370Z the other day. I am definitely buying one in th coming months, but before that I am just looking for a temporary car to trick out a little until I get the money saved up. I found a nice in dash touch screen moniter from Pioneer audio at Best Buy. It everything: 7 inch touch screen, 6 disc in dash DVD/CD changer, satellite and AM/FM ready receiver, and plenty of auxillary ports for a swift iPod connection so I can plug in my iPhone 3GS. The only thing it doesn't have is the ability to also function as a navigation system like the in dash computer of the 2010 Nissan 370Z. Can I program the Pioneer to function as a Navigation system? If not, where can I find one that can?

Concealed Back-Up Camera System for a Car?

My current car did not have the factory option of a backup camera system. I am looking to install one separately , but I need it to be as concealed as possible to not interfere with the design of the car (preferably with an LCD display that mounts inside of or over the rear view mirror, because the factory navigation screen's video input is locked and I don't want a second screen on the dash) The main focus is for the camera to be very small and as little visible as possible. I have a 95 Lincoln Continental and the air ride suspension keeps giving me a fault on the dash monitor.?

My 95 Continental has a problem with the air ride suspension. It tells me to check the air suspension on the dash monitor, but everything seems to be working properly. Also is it normal to have to wait for it to inflate everytime you start the car? I can't believe that any company would build a car that you would have to start and wait until the suspension was inflated. I have only had the car a short time and I do love it other than the air suspension that I have to wait for. Thanks for any help that I might receive

In-Dash Monitor/TV?

I was wondering, can I install (send it to an installation shop of course) an in-dash monitor on a 1983 Jaguar XJ6? It has a trip monitor on the top and the factory radio on the bottom, the problem is that the radio is to at the bottom and will be blocked by the shift knob, so I was thinking of taking off the trip computer and installing the in-dash tv. Any suggestions or ideas?

I found an old car lcd monitor (one that goes in the back of the headrests) and i don't know what to with it because instead of having a normal s video output cable, the only thing it has is a 6 pin DIN cable, which is the same connection used for computer mouses and keyboards. I have no idea what to do with it because I can't find any adapters or anything. TL;DR: What do I do with an LCD monitor with a 6 pin DIN output?

I have a 7" lcd monitor in my car dash. It is connected to a cd/dvd/mp3 player through a video input. I find it gets little uses as I don't watch movies much in my car. I was wondering if there are any other uses for this lcd. For example, can I somehow run a GPS program, or a multimedia/music program to the lcd screen? or anything else I could use this for besides just movies.

ok i had this huge a55 monitor and the picture was good. like lets say i have a picture of a basketball which is 300 by 300. it was fully round. then i got the lcd and now it's like horizontally squished in. it's not round anymore it's oval shaped. i noticed this with some of my car pictures. the wheels are horizontally squished and they are oval shaped. not circle. wtf happened?

Car headrest monitors missing some wires?

I have 2 headrest monitors made by accelevision HRM5MASG and it came wit a dvd player by adiovox, in the back of audiovox dvd player there are two DIN connectors for up to 2 monitors, the problem is, iam missing the wires that were in the monitors, like i have the original ribbon connected, but iam just missing one wire that goes from the DVD to the monitors. Its supposed to connect to this plug that the monitor has its like straight and has metal pins in a straight line i think theres like 6 or 7 of them, and from there theres a ribbon that goes iside the monitor, any help please It has 8 metal pins in a straight line, almost like a VGA male side

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the back-up camera from our 2008 Nissan Armada and install it into our 2004 that doesn't have the back-up cam? Same body style of car, and the 2004 has the Nav screen, just not the back-up cam. Ditto for the DVD player "entertainment system"- we want to move that too if possible. Help please! Thanks!

I've had a few run ins with corrupt cops pulling me over and harrassing me (I often visit my hometown, which has higher crime rates than Compton and is very small, so unless you live there, you have no idea what the cops are like, so please dont lecture me about how I must be a criminal). I would like to put a camera in my car that is inexpensive (possibly a web cam for example), that can start recording somehow when I hit a button. Something small and not very noticeable, but that records audio well, especially outside the car towards the rear (since they often make me stand to the rear of the car). Can somebody suggest something thats either inexpensive, or at least compact and not very noticeable, and explain how I would be able to record it to something. I would rather not keep a laptop in my car all the time, so I would like to use something cheaper as a database box to hold any recordings. Thanks

My brother recently had his car broken into and someone attempted to steal his radio. This individual was clearly dumb beyond words because: 1. They were attempting to steal a radio worth less than $100 2. They failed at stealing said radio They did however succeed at shattering his driver's side window. His car lacks a security system so I've started looking into one for him. What I'd really like is a system that, when triggered, starts a camera(s) recording so that there is a possibility of catching the thief's face on video. Does such a security system exist? I'm contemplating making one of my own...but that'd take a lot of time and work to design. I'd rather just go out and buy one that I know has been tested and works already. The actual name of the system would be very much appreciated.
