Noise in my system ?

I have a 2010 charger sxt that I just installed a sound system in to. The system is made of 3 amps, 1 JBL 1200w RMS that power 2 12" Alpine Type R, an 800w rms Fosgate Punch that powers a single Fosgate 10" P3 Punch in the rear deck and an alpine PDX 4x100w rms that power my Alpine Type S mids and highs. I used all oxygen free RCA cables, all 100% copper power cables with distro blocks for the amps. I made sure I did everything right. Yet I am still getting a faint whine in the system when my engine accelerates, very frustrating. Both positive and negative are run directly from the battery terminals as the battery is mounted in the trunk. Please Help!

i have a 2004 chevy silverado with stock radio the amp i have only have the rca hook up is there a way i can make it work without getting the adaptor?

My amp has power but my bass control knob looses power and subs dont do anything. ?

When I start my jeep everything comes on then shortly after the bass control knob loses power and the subs shut down. the amp still has power but nothing else????

Sony CDX-GT40U amp problems ?

I'm at a loss...I hooked up an amp just how its supposed to be but when I unhooked the 12 volt power wire, the amp still stayed on. The remote on/off switch wire was acting as the power. How is that possible?

Front Right speaker keeps cutting in and out?

I have two 10 inch JL audio subs in the back being being power by a directed amp along with an Memphis amp for the four speaker in the car, the speaker im having problems with is the front right car speaker that is also made by Memphis. I know that the speak isn't blown because there are times that the speaker plays flawlessly, it usually plays when the speakers are up real loud (added details). Also when i'm driving it seems that when i make turns it induces the speaker to cut on or off, kind of strange. That is why i have been having so many problems diagnosing the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

subwoofers question ?

HI, i would like to know if running my subwoofers (600 watts rms) will drain the car battery during the cold winter. I do have a capacitor of 3 farads and will be getting a 6 farad one. Also will the capacitor help to not drain the battery. I once got stuck on the highway because the battery died but i had no capacitor during that time and the battery had not ever been changed, will this happen during the winter thank you

How many watts for highs to get over 500 watts of sub bass??

Im running an alpine type R 12 sub (wired for 2ohms) with a 600 watt alpine mono block amp. How many watts should my door speakers be to get good and loud so they can be heard over the loud bass?? I love the bass but its all i can hear right now! The car is a 1959 el camino so no stock system to work with (single cab-no back seat). I love good SQ. I prefer to everything to be loud and super clean. I just replaced some old crappy 28 watt 6x9's with an Alpine 100rms component 6 1/2 component speaker system w/seperate tweeter pushing them with an alpine mrp-F250 amp bridged at 100x2 channels. I thought this would be plenty to get over the bass but its doesn't seem to be quite loud enough. I bought the amp used so I hope its putting out the proper power.

Aux input for a freelander 2006 td4 ?

Hi! I want to get my dad and aux input for his landy. He doesn't want to change the stereo, nor can you buy the aux kit for his model.. my solution is to buy an amp, wire the speaker channels off the standard stereo plug into the left and right channels off the amp and then run a phono/aux cable to his mp3? However would this work? i'm know the basics of electronics, however would the standard stereo interfere with the amp running an input?

Will it be stable at 1 ohm? is the real question I am about to order two pioneer champion series ts-w309d4 dual 4 ohm voice coil subs and have been looking for a reasonably priced amp, inevitably lanzar popped up. I've done a few installs for friends and occasionally they purchase a lanzar only for me to look it up and find that its of course not as powerful as it seems to advertise. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable on the basics of car audio and have run across a particular lanzar (htg2100d). So I plan on wiring the two pioneers at 1 ohm and am looking for a D class monoblock that will handle the 800w rms at 1 ohm. My main concern is if this amp is even close to its advertised power. It seems unlikely to me that a lanzar would handle 800w rms at 1 ohm, and 2400w peak at 1 ohm ...now I don't know how but I do know there is a way to get a good estimate of power from the fuse ratings..maybe somebody can help me out here. If not I would take any recommendations for another amp, keep in mind I'm

Aux port not working ?

2004 Chevy silverado Has a kenwood cd deck with aux port. However when I plug my cable and iPod into I does not play. I can't even get the deck to get into the aux mode. Dir ruins say to press the source button to get I to the aux mode, but will not only goes from cd to tuner. Is this an installation problem? Or defective deck? The truck was purchased used and the steering wheel controls do not work also for the stereo.

Subwoofer no long plays ?

This is my story. My wife drives a GMC Envoy and I bought her a modest stereo up grade. Just 1 12” woofer and 1 amp both located in the rear of the truck. For a long time it worked great but one day my wife filled up 2 5 gallon jugs of water, didn’t put the caps on tight enough and the whole back of the truck got flooded right where the amp and the box are located. The woofer box stopped working but she still go sound from the pre amp in the Alpine head unit. I waited a couple of months for everything to dry out and then found the 80amp fuse between the woofer and the battery had blown. It’s located very close to the battery. I thought this was going to be a simple fix but as it turns out after replacing the fuse the amp turns on, I’m getting 12v dc to the amp but no sound coming from the woofer except an occasional pop. I connected a couple of speakers I had laying around the house to the +/- terminals of the amp and both speakers started to smoke like hell. How do you test the RCA jacks or the

trouble with alpine deck in ford contour ?

so i just purchased an alpine deck and connected in myself because the connector was already there for an aftermarket deck. i purchased the second connector and plugged it in wired everything except for the ground because it worked with out it. it was working fine for a couple weeks and now wont turn on. returned the deck and exchanged it for another re wired it and still dosnt work and this time i connected the ground as well still no power. not sure what it could be yellows connected, blacks connected, antenna connected and illumination etc what could be wrong. i checked the fuse as well and its good
