yesterday my rear drivers side speaker and subs just abruptly stopped working. where do i start ?

02 wrx head unit is alpine subs are cheapo mtx that i have had for 8 years installed everything my self where do i start looking not sure but i think when it happened all my factory settings on the head unit went back to 0 (i.e. tre, bass, mid ) other speakers all work

check your head unit settings first, make sure the balance isnt all the way to the left or right, make sure your fader isnt all the way to the rear or front. play with those. You could also check the speaker wire to each speaker an make sure they havent come off where they connect to the speaker. if your headunit has AUX ports, make sure they are all turned on in the headunit, if u have the option to turn them off and on. in mine i can turn off the sub channel seperate from the rest of the speakers.
