why does my amp get constant power??

Can someone plz help my amp will not turn off even though its wired to the ignition months of drama its already been rewired with brand new wiring not amp has already been replaced.. Thanks

Does your AMP have an input for a wire labeled REM..it stands for remote. the headunit that sends signal to your amp needs a shutoff wire from teh headunit, and thats the remote wires job. Some headunits never completely turn of like some clipse headunit so it wont shut off until you power off. The amp power wire shouldnt be connected to ignition but to the car battery. or power block..the Alternator. which isnt on when the cars off. check your grounds also.
