whats the best equalizer settings for car audio?

i have 2 memphis subs 12'' and a 1000 watt amp...he equalizer is on the dvd player.. it has all these possitive negative things?.. i just dont know which one is best for my sytem?

BunnyRabbiy 		An equalizer is used to set music the way you like to listen to it (the music), adjust the levers till you like the sound. You're the only one that knows how you like to listen.

EthansCAR 		They normally go in sequence, high end - mids - bass Cut the mids a little, raise the highs so u can hear the crack of the snare drum and high hat (cymbal) and don't forget to boost that bass baby!

Samantha 		from very limited knowledge with amp and subs: low pass filter <=100hz dont use bass boost that much. it can cause distortion and make you subs sound bad. loudness depends on how much bass you want with your music relative to how loud you have the volume (do you want the bass to drown out the mids and highs, then turn it all the way up) gain: if yrs has this, turn it down low enough where you dont burn yr amp up. thats very general info, but you didnt have an answer and thought id help.

Jayden 		/ One of which is me, so thank you! I personally have my equalizer set to 'flat'. Everything at '0'. It's all about what you think sounds good, but start here. Slowly go through all of them, up and down, and adjust accordingly. It will take you a while, but it's cool to see how much it affects the sound. Just play around till you like it. If you screw it up too bad, just set the preset one to 'flat' and start over. Have Fun!
