subwoofer not working in my car. first time hookup and still no sound?
i have a 1800 watt kenwood class d mono block amp, a jvc stereo system and a 1000 watt dual bandpass subwoofer. took it to the audio shop to get it hooked up. i was amazed at the sound but later found out that it was just the stock speakers i had in the car that was putting out the bass and not my subwoofer. the subs do not move or anything and on my amp is a red light that blinks every once in awhile. all of the wires are hooked up, I don't know what else would be causing the subs to not work. the audio shop said that the bandpass was to small and is designed more for a hatch back or a jeep, not my dodge intrepid and that I wouldn't get the sound that im looking for. but still no sound comes from the subs. any help would be much appreciated
