remove the cassette player and replace the CD/MP3 car stereo?

i have a 2000 dodge neon. is it possible that i can remove the old cassette player and replace the CD/MP3 car stereo so i can listen to my MP3 player??? (sony network walkman). i just want a new car stereo, not a transmitter or a cassette adaptor.
