pioneer dehp4000ub equalizer?

i have the equalizer set for the car stereo. it works when i play cds but it wont work when i plug in my ipod through the aux in jack. any ideas why?

lmcaraudio 		It can't recognize the Ipod just through the aux jack. Many times when they display "Ipod ready", they mean that you must buy one of their adapters to put into the head unit before it works. Also notice how they say "Satellite radio ready" or "HD Radio ready" but niether of those come with the complete system. It just means that they are compatible with the unit. Should cost you under $30 for the adapter. The adapter goes through the usb port on that model. It's very decieving for someone who doesn't know.
