kicker zx300.1 ?

I have the kicker zx300.1 and the power rating is 150rms into 4ohms and 300 into 2ohms.My question is if i want to use just 1 dvc sub to get 300rms at 2ohm will it really be alot different than just using 1 sub at 4ohms to get 150rms is there a big difference in the power I know is looks like double the power but does it really go like that..
