i have a 12"kicker subwoofer powered by the 1000 watt memphis amp.will my stereo be ok or is there posibilities that it will fry?

im not positive but i think the subwoofer pushes 1000 watts. which is wired to the 1000 watt 1channel amp.

Your stereo will be fine. The speaker "handles" watts, the Amp "pushes" them. Your stereo just sends a signal via the RCA cable to the amp, there isnt backflow of power to it. Make sure your amp is grounded properly and the power wire is fused <18" from the batery + terminal and you will be fine. The stereo has a fuse in the back to prevent it from blowing entirely. If your wiring this yourself, check www.the12volt.com and goto subwoofer wiring, it will show you what OHMs the speaker will be at depending on how many you wire together and how your wire them together. Some amps cant handle 1OHM constantly, but it can do 2 or 4HOM so check into that.
