i have a kenwwod hu with 4 volt preouts a sony explod 1200 watt(xm-2002 gtr)500 watts rms x 1 bridged and 2 12 inch rockford p2d412 dvc subs 250 watts rms per sub. ?

when i set my gain using a 60hz tone and a dmm to get 44.7 volts,then play some good bass music theres not enough bass and its not loud at all.why is that?and why cant you use some good bass songs to set gain if the volts where to never go over 44.7,what would be the difference???
