how can i power a car equalizer and a car amplifier?

I am experienced in car audio , in the car but have never been sure how i could get a power source powerful enough out of a car to power a total of 400w max.

Run the power wire through any hole in the firewall directly to the batteries positive terminal. That way you get direct 12 volt power to the amp and the equalizer.If there is no hole drill a small one but put a rubber grommet in it so the wire will not chafe also I recommend putting a fuse in the line to protect the stereo equipment.

I'm assuming you mean operating 12-volt DC products in the home? If so, you need an AC-to-DC regulated power supply capable of delivering the expected current of the amplifier. A 400-watt MAX amp is probably around 200-watts RMS. At 13.8-volts DC and an efficiency of about 85%, you'd probably need supply of at least 20-Amps continuous. It is more practical just to use home equipment.

lol the guys that anwser you make it sound so hard just buy a 2.0 farad capasitor and wire the amp and the EQ in it and ur fine thats what CAPS are for.
