You have a short somewhere. FOR THE WIRING KIT--->Check the Power wire, make sure that the integrity of the rubber insulation has not been compromised. Also, just because you have no amp does not mean you should not ground the CAR battery with the same gauge wiring as your power wire. If the nut and bolt are not becomming tightened, you will have a loose connection and always have a power issue going to your AMP once you install it. You can replace the nut and bolt at a car shop, its easy. MAKE SURE your power wire has a FUSE on it. If you just installed the pioneer headunit your self, you may want to take it back out of the dash and make sure you connected the wires the the correct car wires. If you used an adapter piece, make sure you connected the radio wires from the pioneer to the correct and corresponding wires from the adapter. BOTH pieces have wiring diagrams. You can find your CAR wiring diagram from www.the12volt.com if you are not using the adapter piece. For every wire connection that you made, make sure you insulated the connection point wire electrical tape. BE SURE to cover every COPPER wire for the connections you twisted together. If you used Solder, you still have to cover the connection, if they ouch other parts of the metal frame of your car or the other wires inside, you will blow fuses and short everything, and may also be causing your lights dimming. PERHAPS, if everything is correct and nothing is wrong, your alternator is dying, and you should goto autozone and have your battery and alternator tested. <---Do this first to save yourself time, if this is indeed the problem.
