car radio/stereo code unlocking?

im trying to unlock my car radio and i either go to my local dealership in which case it will cost me £20 to get the security code i need or there are lots of websites offering the code for £2.99 can i trust these website, becos i got ripped of when i tryed to do the same with my mobile phone and i was charged £5 form a website that didnt give me a code at all. thanks
