Possible internal flaw in the battery. If at some point in the batteries life somebody was a little rough when installing the battery cables it could have loosened or broken a connection point inside the battery. This condition is unsafe if you have it and it is difficult to determine if the battery is afflicted. You will also need to determine if the alternator is working. Check the battery cables for corrosion
