car alarm with no remote.?

my 1999 chevy s10 came with a alarm and i never recieved the remote for it i went somewhere to get it checked out and they said it was CROWN (brand) alarm can i buy my own remote and program it myself?? would i have to install a new alarm?? or what would be the best thing to do??

lmcaraudio 		you might want to take the car back to where you bought it. if they don't have the remote, you could try taking it to a car customizing shop. they can program remotes and may be able to help you out
