are there USB compatible car stereos that can play anything other than iPods?

I'm in the market for a new car stereo that I can play my Zune on without a cassette adapter. USB seems like the best option ever, but the specs on many of them say iPod direct control or iPod compatible or whatever. Is there an in-dash car stereo system that is compatible with other MP3 players via USB?

Most USB car stereos will play any kind of mp3 player as long as the files on it are, well, .mp3 files, or .wma files. It could just be a usb flash drive filled with mp3/wma audio files, the stereo doesn't care. I personnally use a Sony CDXGT430U stereo and I plug a tiny usb drive filled with mp3 files in it and it plays just fine. I don't know what type of audio files you play on your Zune, if it's a MS proprietary format no car stereo that I know of will be able to play it but it they are mp3s or wma files it should work just fine.
