An installer only looks as good as the installer! Ha ha my installers are pretty fat and ugly, and one of them doesnt have any teeth. But he is one of my best 2 guys!!! It all depends on the install yes, but it also depends on the product. Alpine screens look great, and if your looking for something totally clean and smooth, find someone who can order you some raw screens from vizualogic, they look better. Choosing an indash will be the toughest thing, becasuse there are a bunch of crap ones out there that look the nicest, as most of the higher end units honestly look like crap.. I am not too familiar with the interior of an older jag like that, but IF YOU CAN FIT IT, choose a nice "double din" (read: 2x larger than a regular stereo) with few buttons (i.e. Kenwood ddx or dnx series), then have them chop it up and out that. They tend to sit the most flush, and have excellent control with lots of extra options to put on. And just about any visor monitor can be made to look factory as I mentioned above.
