What gauge wire is blue remote wire for car amp ?

I bought a car amplifier for my car 2nd hand, it came with power and earth wires, aux wires and speaker wires but it did not come with a blue remote wire. how thick does it have to be ?

EthanHunt 		16 awg or thicker, mine came with 16. the kit i got supports 1,200 watts

David88 		use between 14-18 gauge but true gauge wire and oxygen free copper. this can also carry the motors noise so it would be best to use a real good brand for this wire. it will also depend on the amp but you should be fine with 16 gauge.
