What do i need??? (amp, wattage) ?

Okay, i have a 2 channel amp connected to two 12 inch subs. Which sounds great and i love. However, the bass from those tends to drown out the stock door speakers (2). I would like to buy new door speakers, but i need to know if it is best to try and run the speakers and subs off the 2 channel amp or buy a new 4 channel amp or even run another 2 channel amp strictly for the door speakers. Also i have 2 6x9 on the rear deck that i am considering upgrading as well. Im thinking buying a 4 channel amp and running it stictly for my door and deck speakers is the best route, but in that case i still need to know how much wattage that amp need be. please help, any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You need to pick speakers first. I have 4 kenwood 5x7 for my interior, they run at 75 watts RMS at 4 ohm. You need that information (RMS wattage, and OHM) to know which AMP to buy. I bought a kenwood amp that runs 60 watts RMs at 4 ohm on 4 channels. This way i can play all the way and not blow the speakers. If you buy the amp first, you limit your options, and run the risk of over or under powering your speakers. Do research before you just buy things. Before doing all this, go into your headunit and turn the highs all the way up. Make sure you use the built in crossover in the AMP for your subs to filter out the damaging high frequencies. you can get your stock speakers a little louder that way.
