What do I need for a relatively complete car audio system?

I've just recently bought a car, and overall I'm very happy with it except for the sound system...which just consists of the factory stock tape player. What do I need to buy (deck module, subs, etc..) to have a nice sound system? Volume isn't a huge deal for me, and hopefully I could keep the price under a grand? Thanks people...

rgcaraudio 		Head unit full range speakers probably 4 subwoofers box for subs amp for subs amp wiring kit If you are not into the bass from the subs and you like tapes you can just change the door speakers-front and rear and get a noticeable change.
