If it were me, i would go with the 1OHM amp. IF your alternator is stronger then normal stock alternators. If its a smaller car like an old mazda or honda civic type, the alternator is under 100 amps and wont have much left to power your system. You would get heavy voltage drops. You do not want to have your voltage go under 12 volts. Below 12 volts but closer to 10 volts, you get clipping in your amp, which can damage your amp and subs permantly. In my opinion, go with 1OHM amp and keep an eye on your voltage. If you see your headlights dim, your voltage just went below 12 volts... turn down the music. You can figure how many amps your AMP needs at full power by looking at its fuses. you can figure how many watts you put out from your amp by how much amps your amp uses. if you have one 30amp fuse, then you multiply 30 by your voltage. You need a voltmeter to check that. so 30 amps times 12 volts=360 watts. Look up your cars specs online, see how many amps your alternator puts out, then try to find how many amps your car uses to run. What is left is used to power your AMP. So take the remainder amps and multiply by your voltage of your battery and thats the MAX watts your subs could get.
