You want better sounding bass, this one is simple. Everything that you installed with the name Sony attached to it, ditch it and replace it. Sony car audio has horrible sound reproduction. I have a friend that had a pair of 12w3v3 on a Sony stereo, the subs sounded like crap, he did not listen to me, said he was going to sell the subs. He sold them, to a guy with an Alpine deck, those subs when the guy immediately installed the subs into his car hit hard and fast. Sounded great. To late for that friend of mine, he already sold the subs at that point. Sony should be outlawed from making car audio, they need to stick with what they know, home audio. The other thing is that the 6.5" speakers that you installed has the sensitivity of a sub, so your not going to get good sounds from them, look for a sensitivity ratting of at least 90 if not higher.
