Problem with rear channel output power. ?

So...I have an Alpine MRP-F300 4 channel amp running front Infinity Reference 5 1/4's and rear Infinity Reference 6x8's. I originally had a set of cheap MTX 6x8's in the rear that had weak sound, weak body, and weak power, so I switched them out for the infinity's. Low and behold the new rear infinity's sound just as bad as the MTX's. So after playing with the X-Overs in both the HU and amp, playing with wiring, changing gains, and playing with the HU's EQ I have no improvement. It seems as though the amp is just barely getting power to the rear speakers...their is sound there but it sounds like a radio in a tin can. Can someone offer any clarity into a potential cause of this? It seems Alpine isn't interested in calling me back. And for the record all is connected by Stinger 1000w wiring kit materials. I'll also add that the vehicles power is sufficient and if it matters I also have another dedicated JBL amp connected to 2x 10inch JBL subs (also Stinger connected).

Put the 5 1/4 on the channel your runing your rear speakers on. Does the problem now show on the 5 1/4? If so, your AMPS channel is bad. Look at your amps wiring options, for which OHMS the speakers are stable and which OHMS the AMP is stable and run it on 2 channel mode, split the added power to all 4 speakers.
