OK to hook up the car alarm to the horn?

My car alarm sound is not loud. I was suggested that I could hook up the the alarm to my car's horn to make it loud. Do you think it's a good idea?

DaisyBloom 		Your alarm will have a horn relay or not. If it does NOT, then NO. The horn uses much more amps. You will short out the alarm in a second. Good Luck...

lmcaraudio 		1st answer is correct if your were to wire straight into the horn but you don't. All horns have relay's already and you tie your alarm into the existing relay (the trigger wire).
