Need help with car audio installation?

I have a 2000 Chevrolet Impala that I want to install a CD player in. I went to Circuit City today to buy the kit and I got the wrong one. There was no one around for me to ask questions, so I went ahead and bought the one I thought would work (and it was 40% off). Because they are going out of business, I can't exchange it. The one I got fits 2006-2008 Impala. Is there anyway I can make it work?

rgcaraudio 		most likely it wont work because the dash has changed, but the dash installation kits are real cheap, you can probably find one in walmart!

rgcaraudio 		Just keep the original stereo dat the car came with because it'l have more power than another one u buy]] just buy an adaptor at a car audio store]

rgcaraudio 		so i'm guessing you got the 99-3305 dash kit, i would just go get the right one which should be metra 99-2003. there's really no way around making the 3305 work when the dash kit is completely different. i would just pay the 12 bucks to get the right one.
