Need help finding an MP3 player for home stereo and car stereo use…?

I’m a real technology ignoramus and I need help. I don’t use headphones much. I’m looking for a player to help me get rid of my gigantic CD mess, have my entire music collection wherever I go, and easily find the what I’m looking for, for a change. Need great flexibility and ease of use. (Don’t need video player.) Wishlist (I think?): -Min 1 – 2 GB plus a memory card expansion slot (or just tons of memory) -Must have easy connectivity to my home stereo and car stereo, such as wireless FM transmission? -Ability to buy an optional car power adapter and AC power adapter &/or docking station -Formats: MP3 and WMA (Additional high-end sound formats for a classical and jazz audiophile would be great -USB or other easy connectivity to computer -Ability to create and use unique playlists that I make -Programmable equalizer (where I can specify and save the bass and treble settings myself, at least from computer before downloading); crossfading(?) -Uses either AAA/AA or user-replaceable rechargeable battery (I think) -Auto volume would be nice -Blue-tooth compatibility? (Not sure what this is, but heard it was good – a pipedream?) -Must fit in purse, but doesn’t need to be tiny Addendum: I've already purchased a lot of music from iTunes, but I don't want to be tied to Apple. Too late?

I have a zune i think it is a little complicated to put movies on it but if all you want to do is rip your cd collectio to it it simple to use. i have 3o gig memory , every piece of music I uwn plus 4 movies and a couple tv shows have not even filled a third of the memory. play time with movies is about 4 hours way longer on music only because the screen goes black when you are not using the menus car chargers are available but it comes with a usb cable and charges from your home computer. If you want to plug it into a out,et thats a seperate piece again It is blue tooth so if your computer phone palm is blue tooth or you know anyone else with a zune you can share music with out a cable some auto decks are now coming bluetooth but I have not had the chance to try that yet anyway overall real happy with my zune. Only problem I've had ws I left it in the car overnight and it was 33degrees in the morning. the zune had to warm up before it would turn on

Most of these features are standard on MP3 players these days. Depending on how much memory you need, and your budget, a hard disk based MP3 player might be to your liking (Zune or iPod) for 30gb or more. Otherwise, a less costly, flash based MP3 player would probably suit your needs. I would also recommend the following website, if you think it would help to browse a little: http://www.stylemediaplayers.com/ Good luck!
