Know anything when it comes to car audio and batteries?

Im installing an all alpine system consisting of (2x mrp-m2000 amp's, 2x type-x 12" sub, pdx-f4 amp, 2x spx-17pro door speakers, boss 4farad battery cap, and a iva-w505 headunit)...the type x subs push 1500rms-3000 peak x 2=6k, plus each door speaker = (100rms-300peakea x 4 = 400/1200) = around 7.2k? Im guessing a car battery, What would i need to support this audio system no problem. Thanks

Ignore the peak power ratings for audio equipment in this case, you need to know the RMS for all your stuff. You will need 3000 watts RMS powering for your 2 subs from your m2000 amps. Those amps @ 4ohms power 1500rms, and @ 2 ohm power 2000rms. You have 2, i would run your speakers at 4 ohm to your amps, 1 sub to one amp. You could run them at 2ohm to one amp giving each sub 1000 watts respectively, if you cannot afford to properly power 2 amps. Including your 4 other speakers, your total RMS is 3400. You will between 240 and 290 amps to keep this all running properly. Amps x voltage = watts I divided 3400/12 and 3400/14 to get my numbers. The 4farad Capacitor will not help power your stuff, it only stores power it does not create more. Although it will help, about 1k farad for every 1000 watts is suggested if/when using capacitors. You will need an upgraded alternator first off. You will need to upgrade your BIG 3 wiring, google "Big 3" you will see what i mean. You will want to use all of the same type of batteries, age, power, type is important. You have alot of work ahead of you to properly play that system without damage to your existing batteries and alternator. You will want to add 1-2 batteries depending on which amp storage size you get. Im not saying that you cant just hook it all up and it wont work, im saying it will not work as well or how it should.
