Is it a car alarm or what?

I just bought a 1999 Toyota Corolla and there is a red light on the dash by the windshield. Also there is a light on the console that is label security. Can you tell me anything about it? Should the key have a remote on it because my key is plain. If it's an alarm how do i activate it! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Wow! Ask an expert! Why didn't I think of that!

rgcaraudio 		Ask them at a place where they instal alarms remotes and security systems
