Installing In dash Multimedia player(car) ANTENNA?

There are 2 antenna plugs with 2 corresponding sockets in the OEM car stereo.. now I'm installing a new unit and it has only one antenna socket. What will I do with the other plug?? there is also a wire from the new unit labeled ANT, should I solder that wire to the other extra plug? or just connect that one bigger antenna plug, since the unit has only one ant socket. Thanks

If you have one plug that fits the after-market deck, and another plug that's smaller, tape the small plug up out of the way and just connect the large plug. Your factory radio uses a "diversity" antenna system, where there are actually two different antennae in the car. The factory radio uses the stronger of the two signals. The after-market deck doesn't use a diversity system, so a second antenna connection won't do it any good.
