How many speakers do i need in my car system?

So I was gonna pick up a polk audio system for my civic. will it sound okay with just one component set (two speakers, two woofers two tweets) or do I need two? What's the usual layout for a decent system?

How many speaker do you NEED? Just one, after that it's personal preference.

If you want decent quality go Pioneer all the way, its the best bang for the buck in my opinion.
