You'll need a stereo or something that acts as an amplifier to the speakers. The signal isn't strong enough to realy be heard.

Use an FM transmitter. I use one with my non iPod player ind it works great. No wiring. It plugs into the cigarette lighter and into the headphone jack of my MP3 player. I tune the FM radio to the correct station and it works great. These can be purchased at many major discount stores manufactured by several companies. Follow the link below for an example. You need to install an FM radio for this to work. This would be easier and cheaper than cobbling something to plug your player into. Or you could use a portable FM radio.

Buy a new head unit for your car. Go to a car audio shop or store like best buy. They have a selection of radios that you can choose from to put into your car. Sometimes best buy has free installation on radios over $100 so you can get it put in for cheaper. The only thing is that you have to buy some parts depending on what car you have. You may also have to pay extra for installing if they have to do extra work because of the wires hanging out. Look for a head unit that has an aux port in the front. You will just connect a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack from your headphone jack on the mp3 player to the aux port. Most of the new head units will already have this. The Pioneer DEH-1900MP is a good head unit for $100. It has a aux jack in the front of it so you can use that to hook up your mp3 player. Good Luck!!!

it would cost more to get your mp3 player to pump out enough to run your speakers! just buy a stereo, and if you cant afford it save up
