How can I choose a good in-dash CD/mp3 player?

I want to replace my current CD player with a receiver with mp3 capability. What specs should I look for to know what kind of quality I'm getting? How much should I expect to pay for a good one? Any suggestions on brands? Any other tips?

A good CD player should go for about $120 - $150, Sony is a good brand. You might wana try BestBuy.com or CircuitCity.com or go to their store and if you buy a new CD Player they will install it for free.

Crutchfield has been around for a LONG time. they have an excellent website with lots of information on replacing your car stereo! This link will take you to the CD Player Shopping Guide . It should answer all of your questions!

Do some research on internet and magazines (crutchfield.com) Read the reviews in Circuit city and Amazon. i did a lot and bought my mp3 player and am lovin it. Also if you are really a music-lover try to buy the one which has surround capabilities (look for Dolby or atleast SRS logos) Watch what your Budget is.
