Does this setup sound good? Do I need the crossover? Any advice greatly appreciated! ?

I have a stock head unit in my 2008 Ford F150 Supercrew, I have a Sony Xplod 500W (XM-504Z) amp, I am going to get a subwoofer and enclosure that will fit under my back seat. I am thinking a single 10" or 8" should sound good. I was given a new Visonik 3-way electronic crossover w/ remote. Does this sound like a good setup? Do I even need the crossover? Any advice greatly appreciated!

The amp has abuilt in low pass crossover so you really dont need the extra crossover. If you ever upgrade your interior/door speakers you will want one. Finding a Truck box to fit in your truck is good if you want to keep the system concealed and "outta sight, outta mind". They make flat subs, if you didnt know, for trucks like yours. 500 watts isnt that much but its perfect for one of those. Sounds good to me as long as your wiring is all good :) enjoy!
