Does installing Car Audio void the warranty on a 2007 Nissan Altima, if the Car Audio causes a malfunction?

I won't be installing the car audio myself, the installation will be done by a certified car audio installer (FutureShop). I have been told it will, and I have been told it won't; so I want someone to let me know for sure... if you are sure about your answer of course. Does installing Car Audio void the car's warranty if it causes a malfunction to another part of the car, let's say after a few months, even if its installed by a certified installer? (For a 2007 Nissan Altima). An accurate answer would be appreciated. Thanks. -Gbustic

The only real way of knowing would be to ask your local Nissan dealership, or e-mail Nissan. One thing you must do is GET IT IN WRITING if the dealership tells you that it will not void the warranty. In the future, if something does go wrong, you don't what to have to go through "He said, She Said".

NO NO NO if they tell you that it will be void ,tell them to put it in writing and have them sign with that you can sue the dealer or ask them to install the audio system for free here read this http://www.drdetailshop.com/magnuson_moss_act.htm
