Do I need to get an aftermarket stereo for my car amp?

I have a 200 wat amp and wondering if I can use the factory car stereo or if I need to get an aftermarket to hook up the amp.

I'm not sure of what kind of car you have but there should be a way to do it. you have to remove the stereo from the dashboard and there should be an alternate auxillary outlet/inlet. With that said, I strongly suggest you purchase an aftermarket stereo if you want the full effect. You can buy a good Sony, JVC, or Pioneer brand stereo from Best Buy or even Wal-Mart for a decent price.

you should have a low adapter for the amp in the box it came in but if not you need a lil converter but hands down you should just buy a aftermarket cuz the converters go bad 3 of them went bad on me in like 5 months.....
