Complete Audio Installation Package?

Okay, so I have a 1995 Toyota Camry Le Sedan 4dr, with the default AM/FM and cassette deck and stock speakers. I have finally decided that it is time to upgrade. So, here are the components I plan to install: Deck: Sony Xplod CDX-GT62IPW Front Speakers: Sony Xplod XS-GTX1640 Rear Speakers: Polk Audio db651s Subwoofer: Blaupunkt GTt-1200 Sub Amp: Profile HA700M I plan to order from Crutchfield, so I get the wiring harness, etc free. The amp doesn't come with anything extra. Also I plan to install a security system: Crime Guard 350i5 I have never done anything with my car, but I think I'm up to the challenge. The only DIY stuff I do is build my own computers. Any recommendations or changes? Is there anything I forgot? BTW these parts cost about $600. I don't want to go too much above that. Here are the links to the items listed in the same order: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GT62IPW/Sony-Xplod-CDX-GT62IPW.html http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GTX1640/Sony-Xplod-XS-GTX1640.html http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB651S/Polk-Audio-db651s.html http://www.crutchfield.com/p_023GT1200T/Blaupunkt-GTt-1200.html http://www.crutchfield.com/p_489HA700M/Profile-HA700M.html http://www.crutchfield.com/p_514CG350I5/Crime-Guard-350i5.html Thanks a million, Anish

You can get almost all that stuff at Sonicelectronix.com, but I recommend, if you don't know how to, letting a pro install your head-unit. So basically, buy the head-unit from Crutchfield.com so you can get the harness, etc. and then buy all your other stuff from Sonicelectronix.com good luck!

I agree, buy the HU from them so you get the adaptor free. Buy everything else cheaper. I like http://www.woofersetc.com alot cheaper. I would get different brands though. Forget the rear speakers, and get an amp for the front. Here is the prices from the site I stated above, on what I would get: Polk 6.5" http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6137 $79.99 Sub: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1512 $156.99 Amp: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6557 $244.99 Total of $481.97. Bridge the rear channels of that amp to drive the sub. Good brands, including but not limited to: Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, JL Audio, Soundstream, ARC Audio, Cadence, Diamond Audio, Focal, Dayton (subs), Precision Power, some MTX, RE audio, Fi car audio, Sundown Audio, Hertz, MB Quart, Zapco, Infinity, Incriminator Audio, Missing Link Audio, JBL, Mach5, Ascendent audio, and DC sound labs, Digital Designs, Pioneer Premier; old school brands: Lanzar, Hifonics, Orion, and Phoenix Gold. Mediocre brands (brands that are good for the money, but there is better): Quantum Audio, Sony ES line, Memphis (I have heard of lot's of problems with their amps), Dual, Infinity (in my opinion), Pioneer, Kenwood (in my opinion). Junk brands, including, but not limited to: Blaupunkt (except old school stuff), Pyramid, Boss, Profile, Lanzar (except old school Lanzars), HiFonics (again except old school, series VIII and earlier), Legacy, American Pro, Rampage, MA Audio, Alphasonik, Crunch, Lightning Audio, Visionik, Audiovox, Volfenhag, Rockwood, Jensen, American Legacy, Soundstorm, Audiobahn, SPX, Sony Explod line, VR3, JVC, Pyle. Any thing at Wal-Mart, or an auto parts store.

The sony head unit is horrible you should get a pioneer or panasonic if your on a budget they last longer. for $600 you could get a lot better stuff from cardiscountstereos.com just remember to look at the rms and ohms when your dealing with subwoofers and amps.sonicelectronix.com is an ok website just try to avoid refurbished items you never know what your gonna get. Kicker makes great products so does rockford fosgate, pioneer, re audio, hifonics, and mtx. when your on a budget try to get these brands they are great.

It's cool you are going for it. A stereo sounds better when you install it yourself. If you buy 1 set of Polk 6.5 you get second pair 1/2 off, And they sound better than Sony. That is a good deck. Did you buy a dash kit? Take a look at Pioneer decks, they have separate Subwoofer controls,I think it is the DEH-P3000IB With one button you can turn off your sub and you control the sub's HZ and volume from the drivers seat, very cool. The Sony and Pioneer both sound great. Just thought I would let you know about that feature. So it looks like all you need is a 8gage amp wiring kit. Monster or Stinger are nice. A wiring harness for your Cd player and (4) adapters one for each 6.5 speaker if you want,or you can just splice them. Your amp and sub match perfect. I think this will be a fun project. There will be step by step instructions in the amp and dash kits. The wiring harness is very straight forward and will have easy instructions too. Good luck
