Car Alarm Bypass Notification?

I just had an alarm reinstalled on my 09 Corolla recently. After the alarm was installed, I realized that when I lock my doors the car would chirp once and like 3 seconds later it would chirp again. So does that mean the alarm is working properly? Because usually car alarms chirp once when you lock it. I looked at the owner's manual and it says this additional chirping a few seconds later after the doors are locked are called "bypass notification" meaning that an input is active (doors open, sensor triggering, etc) while the car is armed or something. So I brought my car back to the installer and he told me that the alarm chirps once when it's locked and again a few seconds later because he set the alarm on zone 2. He said he made the alarm chirp like this (2 times) because he wants to prevent the alarm from going off like before. The previous alarm he installed for me kept on going off and the warning chirps would chirp for no reason. So does setting the alarm on zone 2 (I think he said zone 2) makes my car chirp once and then chirp again a few seconds later? Is there anything I need to worry about my car chirping twice like this when locking the doors? I've already tried opening each of my 4 doors and it will trigger the alarm. And I tried bumping my car (near the roof that is slightly above the driver's door) and it will make the warning chirps sound. So is there anything I should be worried about even if my alarm still give that additional chirp after the first chirp?

"I looked at the owner's manual and it says this additional chirping a few seconds later after the doors are locked are called "bypass notification" meaning that an input is active (doors open, sensor triggering, etc) while the car is armed or something." You are correct. If you look further into the manual, you should find a paragraph stating that whatever zone has been bypassed is not protected by the system....me personally, I would roll all the windows down and arm the system....manually unlock each door and open them....see if any do not trip the alarm....if one door doesnt set it off you have isolated the problem

His explanation doesn't make any sense to me. The only reason most alarms will make a second chirp is to notify you that a zone that's being monitored is still open. When you get an active input chirp every time you arm an alarm, it usually means that the door trigger is connected to the vehicle's dome light, and there's a dome light delay feature. If you close your door, and it takes 30 seconds or so until your dome light shuts off, that's a delayed dome light. If the alarm is using the dome light wire for a door trigger, then it thinks the door is still open until the light goes out. If the door is opened before the dome light shuts off, the alarm won't detect it. To confirm that this is what's happening, close your door, then wait until the dome light turns off before you arm the alarm. If you don't get an active zone chirp when you arm the alarm after the light goes off, then that will confirm that the dome light was causing the active zone. If you still get a chirp, then some other condition is causing the active zone; and it needs to be checked out, because a zone that remains active can't trigger the alarm. It the delayed dome light is the cause, it's really not a problem. Most alarms will sense when the dome light shuts off and begin monitoring the zone at that point. If you arm the alarm, then wait until the dome light turns off, then open a door, the alarm should trigger. I would certainly test to make sure this is happening. Most alarms allow the notification chirp to be turned off. If the delayed dome light is the reason for the chirp, then you may as well have the chirp turned off. If some other zone is staying open after arming, then it needs to be checked out.
