Can i reuse wiring kit from my current car audio system and install it into my new car without any problems?

Im selling my car and have pulled my very expensive audio system out and will be installing it into my new car. The wiring kit i have was quite expensive (kicker wiring kit $200AUD) and i would like to reuse it for my new car. The guy who pulled my system out from my current car said its not good to transfer the wiring kit into the new car because you get kinks and things which damage the wire and affects the sound quality. Is this true or is this sales guy trying to get me to fork out another $200 for a brand new wiring kit which is completely unnecessary???

every car has its own special wiring kit , you need to buy the one for your specific year make and model or the plugs won't fit together , you don't want to tape all the wires together they will come apart after you drive around awhile

If you've pulled your system out of your old car - there's very little reason to leave the wiring kit in there. (Unless it's a selling point for the car.) I'd pull the old wire & RCA's and visually expect them. If you notice the shielding isn't damaged then they're fine to reuse. Kicker wiring kits are durable - I'm willing to bet they're still in good shape. (You can bend them into a shape of a pretzel, literally - they're that easy to work with.) At any rate, this is a good time to judge how well your car audio installer did the first time around. Lastly, don't trust the "sales guy" - his recommendation is typical. I prefer to judge it on a case to case basis.

as long as no wire is exposed you are good, but i would make sure i did a good job because a short in your power or remote wire can cause a lot of problems (expensive) and as far as RCAs go i would replace them (even in high end shops they will tell you that the quality or the RCAs is not that important and you wont notice a difference in the sound quality unless you get the really cheap low quality ones)
