guage is just the thickniss of the wire. if that's what your trying to ask.

AWG stands for American Wire Gage and relates to the diameter of the wire. The smaller the gauge number the larger the diameter is. In other words 8AWG is bigger diameter than 10 AWG. The larger the diameter the more current it is capable of handling.
