A question for experienced car alarm installers?
I bought an OEM alarm for my 95 Ford T-Bird. It has all the directions and stuff. Put the siren in, went to wire up the unit and got to a point in the directions where it tells me "for positive systems, connect purple wire, for negative systems connect yellow wire". It has the same thing in a few places later on for different wires.
It's really vague. I guess it's talking about the ground (earth)? But that seems weird, since all cars except for like 1960s MGs and Jaguars and stuff are negative ground (so why would it even have an option for positive ground???) Is there anything else it could mean?
